My Raya Break

I had 1 week holiday for this Raya celebration. It always feels good to be home with my family. I had to work this holiday because a friend of mine can't make it back to TI this holiday and I replace her for 2 weekends. This was the first time I worked as a promoter. It was nothing unusual except for the fact that I worked in a Kedai Ubat Cina. I never knew that they would need a promoter in Chinese Medicine Shop. Well, it was not their idea after all. It was the Milk company, Wyeth who was looking for promoters to help promote their new milk range. It was not really new actually. This new range has added new nutrient to their existing baby milk powder, that is Lutein. My job was to educate the customers about Lutein, why they add this to baby's milk. Well, the customers' feedbacks does not sound too good as this milk range costs more. They knew about this company because of the ever famous S-26. A lot of newborns drank this milk as a start but gradually, the switch to other brands because the parents said it was exhaustive for them to feed the babies with Wyeth milk product as every packet or tin causes a few more bucks compared to other milk products. I guessed this is the main reason as to why the prefer other milk. Also, they were afraid that the babies cannot get use to this Lutein containing milk. Some even claimed that their babies were allergic to Wyeth milk.

Hmm... Guess this is just another working experience of mine. I did not quite enjoy it not because I have to stand for long hours but because it was really boring there. Most mothers or fathers will not be bothered to even listen to what I have to said. And the worse part, not a lot of the customers came looking for babies milk. LoL... So, I ended up helping around in the shop. Just to make my time pass faster. LoL... I made new friends there. One of it was a young guy who is just turning 17 this year. He is superbly hardworking and the bosses like him pretty much. I myself was impressed. Though he did not want to continue to study, at least he is willing to work and support himself. There are a lot of youngsters that did not study and in the same time do not want to work. They are only depending on their parents for their livelihood. OMG. I can't imagine just how they are going to support themselves in future.

This raya holiday is ending soon. I got to get back to UKM. 3 more weeks of perkuliahan and I will get another break, this time my study leave. Then I will be having my final exams and that will sum up my Bachelor's degree journey in UKM.

There are things that I am going to miss much in UKM, also things that I wished it had never happened. Throughout the journey, a lot had happened. Some good and some bad. Regardless of how good or how bad they are, these are all part of my memories for me to ponder on in my later life. There is nothing perfect in life. It is about how we accept them in order to make them looked better in future. Every single thing we did in our life is valuable.
