Today, I went to the UKM's grand 37th Graduation. I met some friends there... Their happiness is really overwhelming. I do share the joy. But deep inside my heart, the same old question popped up over and over... Why did that accident happen??? If it did not take place 2 years ago, I would be entering the same hall (DECTAR) together with my course mates on Wednesday, receive my scroll and that's the end of my Bachelors degree... Oh well, that is fate. I did not dwell much in that incident now.
All I want now is to finish my final semester with better results. Hopefully... I do admit that I have been a little lazy as compared to the previous semester. Was it because I was always sick since the start of this new semester? Fever has been on and off for the past weeks. I was especially weak on the fourth and fifth week. I did not even eat much... I only drank Milo and cereal drinks on most days and even with that, I still had diarrhea and vomitted most of what I drank or eat... Am I giving myself an excuse to be lazy? I hope not... I want to stay healthy for the next few months so that I can stay focus and be back on track... I am a little left behind in Biochemistry and Mid-Semester exams is at the end of the month. OMG!! There is not much time left. I am starting to do revision but enzyme kinetics is really a tough chapter and the other chapters need a lot of memorizing and understanding as it involve lots and lots of processes and reactions and enzymes and etc... I should say this is the toughest subject of the semester.
As for Web Programming, I am doing okay with HTML. I am now starting to look at CSS. It seem to be another exciting part of the whole programming course. I am enjoying it pretty much. I will be having a 2 hours lab for Web Programming tomorrow and I think it is time for me to have my hands on CSS. Also, I will have 2 hours lab + lecture for Graphics tomorrow. Though I did not really enjoy the artsy part of this subject, I am starting to get my way through it. I was told that we will be starting OpenGL tomorrow, which is the programming side of the graphics. I have not look at it though... This is how lazy I am... LOL...
I am looking forward to go home this end of the month. Miss my mom and the rest of them much... Most importantly, the comfort that my home offers is unbeatable. Home Sweet Home.... =)

I don't know what to write for title....
It's been a while since I last wrote in my blog... I was sick for the past week and it was really terrible... With serious issues on H1N1, I was indeed a bit worried but thank God, I am all well now... The number of death associated with H1N1 is increasing. I am hoping that all everyone at home and all my friends will be in the pink of health throughout this outbreak... Personal hygiene is very important. Crowded areas should also be avoided... These are the common precautions that everyone knows but yet, how many of us can follow? Avoiding crowded places is so not an option if you depend on public transportation... Also, if you have classes to attend etc...
I heard one of the juniors in my hostel block that says UKM might be closed after Pesta Konvokesyen due to H1N1. How true is this? I know not.. I certainly hope that the cases in UKM is not that severe. There have been death cases in KKM.
Actually, I have a lot that I wished to write but I just do not know where should I start with. And so, I ended not writing it now. LOL... :P
Lastly, I wish all to be blessed with good health always...

A heart wrenching day...
As usual, I woke up early in the morning, bath, check my emails, log in to Facebook, eat my breakfast and prepare to attend class. Nothing unusual, except I reminded myself to go to the BSBT office to get my forms for me to submit my thesis. I was feeling excited this morning as I know I will be seeing my thesis supervisor, submitting my corrected thesis to her and of course the most important task was to ask her what was my result for thesis. She promised to tell me last week but she didn't. So, with that mood, I entered her room after knocking twice at her door. She was there... I showed her my corrections and she said there is a little more to add to it. So, I said okay... Will send it tomorrow morning again.
So, I am now praying that this is not true, that they will give me back my A-. I will see her again tomorrow morning. I hope things will go smoothly...
And finally, she start talking about my results. She said, tak apa kan kalau pusat tolak 2 markah sebab kamu hantar thesis kamu lambat?? Then I said tak apa (thinking that 2 marks would not have affected my results badly) only to find out that what she meant was 2 grades lower. She said she (my penyelia) and the penilai had both agreed to A- for my thesis. But because the Pusat Pengajian penalize me for submitting it late, I now got a B!!! WTH!!! It was not my fault to submit it late. And all she said was "tengok la macam mana. I pun frust. Bukannya salah kamu kan? Kesian kamu..." OMG... Is that all she can do?? I am not going to sit back and relax after knowing that it was not because my thesis was bad that I get a B but it was because of that irrational penalty. Others was given 2 semesters to complete their thesis and presentation but I did it in less than 2 months. I've submitted my full draft after working on it for 25days consecutively. I am going to fight for my marks for I deserve it. I am not asking for more!!!

It is already the third week of the semester. A lot had happened this July. Some happy and some unhappy events took place.
The first week was the start of the new semester in UKM and the new timetable was a mess. But we are lucky because our class involve only a few of us and we managed to sort things out pretty fast. All the clashes was settled within 2 days. Thanks to the lecturer in FTSM who is willing to change our lecture hours. Basically this semester's timetable was alright to me except that I have an hour class on Friday evening which is not so convenient for me if I plan to go home that week. I have always disliked Friday evening classes. But, I guess this will be the last Friday evening class for me. So, just bear with it. =))
It was also my Birthday on the first week. This year was the first time that I've celebrated my Birthday thrice. The first one was an advance Birthday celebration planned by my bestie when I was staying at her house during the holiday to complete my thesis. The second one was planned by KK, Bon, Henry and some other juniors and friends on my Birthday itself. I celebrated it with another junior, Caccyn whose Birthday was a day earlier than mine. It was a great celebration. Then I went home that Friday and my family celebrated it with me again. It was amazing how this 23rd Birthday was celebrated; before, on the day and after.. LOL... Also, I received a lot of Birthday wishes from SMS-es to Facebook wishes. I really appreciate them all. Above all, I was most happy to receive that message that I thought I would not receive. ^_^
The most happening event on the second week was my VIVA presentation. My supervisor asked me to go for a rehearsal session in INBIOSIS a day before my presentation but I was having lab at that time. So, never had rehearsal. On the 15th July 2009, I was supposed to have my presentation at 8am as told by my supervisor. I went there earlier so that I can setup my laptop and the projector as that room was not well equipped. But to my surprise, the room was still locked and the BSBT office counter was not opened too. I waited anxiously at the door. I was feeling uncomfortable that time and I went to ask the clerks in the office to open the door for me as it was really getting to 8am. I made some final reading on the things that I have prepared and waited for my penyelia as well as my penilai for my presentation and they were both late that day. I started presenting right after both of them arrived. It past quite quickly as it is only about 5 minutes presentation. I was asked a few questions and from that few, I can't answer one. So, I guessed it was okay. Though I felt awkward to present only to 2 person in the room, I was glad that it ended nicely. And then the penilai said my presentation was okay and he has no major problem with my thesis writing only a few typing errors and to add labels to my diagrams. Overall, it was okay. I was so so so very relieved when he told me that. My hard work for the past 25 days was all worth while. =))
And today is Monday again. I just came back to UKM from home. Though the stay at home was too short but I was still happy to be back at home. Getting pampered and feel like a princess all over again. LOL... =)) I also got to know that my 2pm Graphics Lab session was canceled. So, the only Lab was Web Programming at 4pm. I am felling happy today because I...... Hehehehe... Can't tell here. LOL... ~*(^.^)*~

Tuesday Morning....
Good Morning everyone...
Yesterday was the first day attending labs in FTSM after not going there for 1 semester. FTSM still looked the same except for that new gigantic building right next to it. Or maybe I should say the new gigantic building in it. I have no idea what that building was meant for. Labs?? More lecture halls?? I had 2 lab sessions in FTSM; Web Programming and Graphics Programming for Biology.
In the Graphics Lab, we were given a general idea of what we will learn in the coming weeks as well as a little introduction to our course. It took us about an hour yesterday. Then it was Web Programming Lab. We were introduced to some common web browsers as a start. There after, we were asked to create our own blog to document our project. And because of this, I accidentally deleted my whole blog. We came up with another google account for the project. But since I left my personal account signed in, the newly created blog was for my personal use. And when I realized and I was about to delete it, I deleted my own blog and not the project blog. I must be blur blur that time.... Hmmm....
Never mind. Here I am updating my blog all over again. Over all, yesterday was a fun day. I enjoyed both the lab sessions.
I will be having another lab session, Teknologi DNA Rekombinan from 9am to 5pm later. I hope I can have fun in this lab too. Some told me it was fun and some told me it was boring because of the long hours plus all the "waiting for results". Anyway, I am about to find out myself today and in the following weeks.
